Thursday night’s home opener will be pushed back to an 8:00 start time as the Detroit Tigers (6:08 start) will be looking for some more post season success. There are even recommendations that fans heading to LCA check on parking ahead of time and show up early

Mlive did a post and this statement is in the write up:

The Red Wings said in a statement: “With heavy traffic volume expected that evening in downtown Detroit, fans are encouraged to arrive early and to give themselves extra time by reserving parking in advance at Olympia Parking locations by visiting ParkWhiz.com."

Austin Watson has now been assigned to Grand Rapids after clearing waivers. Without knowing for certain what all the moving pieces are, it looks like that’s where the newly inked veteran will start his season. Ansar Khan has the updated lineup as:

Forwards (left wing-center-right wing)

Alex DeBrincat-Dylan Larkin-Lucas Raymond

Vladimir Tarasenko-J.T. Compher-Patrick Kane

Michael Rasmussen-Andrew Copp-Christian Fischer

Tyler Motte-Joe Veleno-Jonatan Berggren

x-Austin Watson

Defensemen (left defense-right defense)

Ben Chiarot-Moritz Seider

Simon Edvinsson-Jeff Petry

Olli Maatta-Erik Gustafsson

Albert Johansson

Goaltenders

Ville Husso

Cam Talbot

Alex Lyon

Khan also writes that Husso’s preseason play may have seen his stock rise in the organization back to the presumed starter.

It is a sincere hope that the team will allow Lyon and Husso to rotate and battle for the top spot. Both are on expiring deals and two hungry goalies could be a boost. There is a lot that fans in the comments are going back and forth on. Many (possibly most, including myself) want to see Kasper in this lineup sooner rather than later.

I’ve had one person touch base that there may be some still moving parts so we may see more changes if there’s any meat to that.
