On Stolarz....
I, unlike the former Leafs writer:, have always been a fan of Anthony Stoolarz. I said it at the time, the Leafs grabbing him this past summer was one of the best under-the-radar moves that no one was talking about. He was signed as a backup for the Leafs, and now he is being considered for Team USA... Some are saying he is currently third and has passed Swayman. That is something.
On the Penguins..and goalies...
They are 100% looking for a solution....The best solution is probably another guy who is sneaking into the 4 nations conversation...McKenzie Blackwood. I have heard talks are ongoing and that until they make a move for a goalie Sullivan is safe...somewhat...
On the Florida/Winnipeg home and home...Its only 2,124 miles between..
Crazy that these two teams are playing a home and home....but in my opinion at least these two games will feature the two best teams in the NHL right now. The Jets did drop a game to Tampa after the Lightning had a week off after losing to Philly and now the Jets run into a Panther team that just dropped two straight to New Jersey....
