Gibson on the Leafs: Seventh. Heaven |

The Leafs made it very interesting yesterday. Trailing Montreal 3-0 at the end of the first period. Then boom went the dynamite. Toronto scored seven straight goals in a game versus Montreal for the fourth time in franchise history and first time since Nov 21, 1942.
12 different players in blue and white had a point last night. Also the third time in the teams rivalry that Leafs have overcome a three goal deficit to triumph. Most recently was Feb 23, 2019. Montreal also led that game 3-0 at the end of the first period and Leafs scored 6 straight in that one to win 6-3..
It was just Montreal's second regulation loss this month (Jan 3), 5-0-1 since then. Montembeault allowed 6 goals, it was the 13th time he's allowed 4 or more goals in a game this season. Speaking of lucky 13, it was the 13th time this season that a team has overcome a 3 goals to post the W.
The Leafs face another division rival, when Tampa visits Toronto on Monday. Let's hope they bring some warm weather with them. Speaking of warm, Lightning are 5-1-1 in their last 7 games.
