The Ottawa Senators blank the Minnesota Wild for the season series sweep by the final score of 6-0.

Period I

With less than two minutes remaining in the first period, Josh Norris opened the scoring shorthanded for the forward’s 19th goal of the regular season with the assists going to Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub.

Period II

The Senators scored two goals in 53 seconds just before the midway point of the game.

Tim Stützle extended the home team lead for the center iceman’s 17th of the season from Brady Tkachuk and Sanderson.

Michael Amadio had his third goal in an Ottawa jersey; Ridley Greig and Shane Pinto earned the assists.

Ryan Hartman gets the match hit on the heavy and controversial action on Tim Stützle. Easy 5 games.

Period III

The Sens had three powerplay goals in the first three minutes.

Jake Sanderson had the first powerplay goal for his fourth of the season. Drake Batherson and Stützle had the assists.

Brady Tkachuk had his 20th this year; Claude Giroux and Batherson had the apples.

Drake Batherson closed the scoring for the evening with his 15th of the regular season; Stützle and Sanderson had the final assists.

Goaltenders

Filip Gustavsson had 46 saves on 52 shots for a 0.885 save percentage.

Leevi Merilainen had his 3 shutout of his season and career after stopping all 16 shots.
