If you were looking forward to watching the progress of some of the Penguins prospects in the AHL playoffs I have some bad news for you. The WB/S Penguins have already been eliminated. This is quite the disappointing outcome for those of use looking for something Penguins related to consume.

What should have been a decent enough run watching players like Ville Koivunen, Rutger McGroarty, Joel Blomqvist/Sergei Murashov, Tristan Broz, Owen Pickering and Harrison Brunicke grow as players was over before it really began.

It can’t be framed as anything but disappointing. It was supposed to be an opportunity to watch some growth in real time and get excited for potential for next season. This is an unfortunate conclusion following up in what was a pretty lost season for the big Penguins.

Harrison Brunicke was able to pot his first ever professional goal joining the rush

For now, we wait to see who will play inbthe World Championships and then see how the draft plays out (including the Rangers decision on their first round pick).
