FLYERS AND HABS, ROUGHING IT UP!!! CRAZY FINISH ON ITS WAY! |

Extremely intense game going on at Wachovia, tonight. It's been chippy, to say the least, and Carey Price is putting together another impressive outing. Saku Koivu and Michael Ryder score in the same period, let alone the same game—a bloody miracle!!! Kovalev is rolling with a goal and an assist; he now has 58 points. Aside from being one of the best defensemen in both games against Philly, Bouillon has also added his first goal of the season.
If you're a Flyers fan, how can you not be upset with Scott Hartnell, who on top of the 123 PIM he had coming into this game, has added another four, with useless offensive zone penalties?
Question...Remember when Saku Koivu was charged by Colby Armstrong last year, and then Sheldon Souray was assessed 17 minutes in penalties, for unsportsmanlike, instigating, and fighting? Where was that call on the Begin hit? Begin deserved a charging penalty for leaving his feet, how can Smith not be assessed an instigator? There's no grey area for the instigator penalty...either he instigated a fight, or it was mutual...it clearly wasn't mutual; Begin was challenged directly after he knocked Denis Tolpecko to the moon! This was just one instance of what's been absolutely brutal officiating tonight. The linesmen as well, have been atrocious! A man has been booted from almost every draw, and they are dropping pucks like morons out there...
This game may get well out of hand before it's done. If you're a Canadiens fan, you better hope the boys have energy, because this Flyers team has two goals to chase down before they drop their seventh game in a row. They are going to come out hungry, and if things don't work out early in the period for them, this could get very ugly.
Get set for what promises to be an electric period. Carey Price, and the defense will be extremely busy.
Enjoy the rest of this one!!!!!
