DO THE SENS HAVE AN ANSWER FOR MALKIN, CROSBY, MALONE AND SYKORA?

PENS-V-SENS:

Has anyone seen #19 for the Sens? You're killing my pool, Spezz! Jason should stop complaining about the officiating and lead by his example on the ice. He's playing like a rookie who's never played in the NHL postseason before.

Heatley finally chipped in a point, just when you thought it was safe to conclude that #15 was in the press box with Alfie, Fish, and Kelly.

The Sens D are horrible. They are a beat behind, and they are not winning battles. Meszaros can't help himself from taking stupid cross-check penalties, can he? Were it not for guys like Donovan, Neil, Robitaille, Vermette back-checking hard, this thing would be worse than it already is for Ottawa.

Show of hands... Ray Emery plays tomorrow in Ottawa? Gerber has been tremendous in goal. Will the Sens waste his heroic efforts?

Is there a sicker player in the NHL right now than Geno Malkin? He's a freakshow on ice!
The guy has a goal and 5 helpers, and we haven't seen his best yet!

I love the way that Sid is playing on both sides of the puck. His 4 assists helped his team win Game 2, however, its his play in his own end that I find to be most remarkable. His stick is always in a shot lane, his feet are always moving, and he's playing a tight gap to deny time and space. Pascal Dupuis has had a profound affect on #87, eh? Sid is playing with a huge chip on his shoulder and a noticeable snarl. Too bad Spezza and Heatley don't play that way....

Ryan Malone has earned himself a fat pay bump this Summer. He made $1.45 Large this season, and, he'll be a UFA on 7/1. Shero better back up the Brinks truck!

Hossa will be rewarded for his hard work in the blue and in the corners.

Roberts, Ruutu, and Laraque have given the Pens the veteran leadership, sandpaper and jam that they need to have for a deep run in these Playoffs.

The Sens are being out worked, out hit, and out scored. My opinion: they will not recover from this.

BC's Nathan Gerbe will gladly take the NCAA Mens Ice Hockey Champoionship over the Hobey Baker Award. Kevin Porter from Red Berenson's MU Wolverines wins the 2008 Hobey Baker.

Gerbe and his Golden Eagles will play Notre Dame for the Championship later today.

CAPS-V-FLYERS:

What more can you say about AO/ the guy morphed into a monster with 5 minutes left in a tight game and he willed his team to a Game 1 win.

His Hemi kicked into top-end speed at a point in the game where you'd thought that all players on both benches were spent. AO is a special player, and he showed you just how special on the tying goal when he stole the puck from two different Flyers, then beat Biron for the winner.

* Thoughts and prayers to Patrick Thoresen. He was injured late in the game when he took a Mike Green laserbeam in the midsection. Paul Holmgren told Tim Panaccio after Game 1: "There's a good chance they may have to remove one [testicle]," .
