Ryan Bayda has more than earned a spot on the Penguins roster. Though he has only cashed in once during the pre-season, he has been a physical presence all over the ice. He is not afraid to throw his body around. He works hard in the corners and is always moving his feet. He will be a great addition to the Penguins fourth line.
Where this goes down as a win for Shero, is in the fact that he convinced him to accept a two-way deal. He has flexibility to send him down to Wilkes Barre-Scranton or to keep him around with the parent club. Bayda's work ethic, at least the one he showed during training camp, will quickly make him a fan favorite with the Penguins rabid fan base.
