Imagine the elation that would have befallen Western New York had rookie Tyler Ennis buried the empty-net chance that was on the tape of his stick five minutes into the third period in Newark. Ennis had Brodeur out of the net, dead to rights, however, could not pot the go ahead goal. The Devils would go on to win it in regulation.
Time to applaud the third overall finish. Many arm chair know-it-alls laughed at the notion of Buffalo making the Playoff cut.
Ryan Miller and his teammates ahave earned the respect of the haters. Now its time to play the system and win a series against a formidable division opponent.

Good to see the heat seeking missile, Pat Kaleta, back in the starting lineup.

Jamie Langenbrunner finished a check on Derek Roy and the impact resulted in a left shoulder injury for Roy. Its a joke that there was no penalty on the play.
Second game in a row that a Sabre forward has been wiped out by an opponent and there was no penalty on either infraction.

Roy returned to the ice at midway through the first period.
