Luke Adam is a skilled big man who has been turning the heads of his coaches, GM and teammates. The 6'3 205 pound left winger proved his mettle in Montreal, by outworking the opponent and scoring two pretty goals. The guy is a thoroughbred. He has great balance, fast feet, soft hands, and he can pound the body.
Though he's headed to Portland, he has no doubt punched his ticket to the show. Don't be surprised when Adam gets the recall to Buffalo this season before Mark Mancari.
Credit to Darcy Regier and the Buffalo scouts. Kassian and Adam are NHL ready. Now you see why Adam Mair and Tim Kennedy are former Sabres.

Good to see Pat Kaleta back on the ice and wreaking havoc in Montreal. Lindy used his sparingly in his first preseason action, however, he was effective on the forecheck. He killed penalties and skated well in all three zones.the Sabre SD'er skated a shade north of 11 minutes in his firrst preseason action. Not bad at all.
PKs neck has been sore and the coaches decided to give him rest and treatment rather than risk further problems. Kaleta's absence from the lineip has allowed the coaching staff more time to evaluate Drew Stafford and Zack Kassian. Right wing is an area of sudden strength for Buffalo.

Twas nice to see Maxim Lapierre bounce his face repeatedly off of the knuckles of Mike Weber.

Tyler Myers skated 23 minutes. He added two assists and was +2.
