Thank the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators for setting the compararbles market for veteran, slumping centreman. Similarly, Connolly has scored goals and added 14 assists in only 38games this season. Connolly is a dreadful -12 to boot.

Nashville just acquired Mike Fisher from Ottawa for a first rounder in this Summer's draft, as well as a conditional pick in the 2012 draft.

In 55 games this season, Fisher has 14 goals and 10 assists. He's a disgustingly out of character -19, largely due to the fact that his team's D and goaltending have been garbage all season long.

Similarly, Connolly has scored goals and added 14 assists in only 38 games this season. Connolly is a dreadful -12 to boot.

If I'm Darcy Regier, I start calling around to the other GMs asking for a first rounder for Connolly. if the market is bearing a first rounder and a conditional pick for Fisher, perhaps a first for Connolly is a possibility. Connolly has Playoff experience and can add a spark to speacial teams.

Does this mean that Buffalo can get comparable trade value for soon to be UFA centre, Tim Connolly? If so, I'd move Connolly now. The Senators, Rangers, Penguins, Kings, Blackhawks, Flames, and Blue Jax are all looking for a playmaking pivot, who can play the PP and PP. Connolly can be their man.

Fisher has two years left on his deal. He'll earn $4 million next season and $3 million the season after.

Happy wife, happy life.
