BETTMAN WILL ATTEND PEGULA PRESSER |

NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman and Terry Pegula have been spending a lot of time on the phone and in person lately. Bettman knew he had a serious prospective owner when he met Pegula. One hundred eighty nine million dollars and three months later, the natural gas magnate is officially the new owner of the Buffalo Sabres. The deal is closed and Pegula will meet the media for the first time on Tuesday morning. Bettman will be in attendance for the event.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 21, 2011) – The Buffalo Sabres today announced the closing of Terry Pegula’s purchase of the Buffalo Sabres from B. Thomas Golisano will take place on Tuesday, February 22.
Terry Pegula will be introduced as the new owner of the Buffalo Sabres at a press conference on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Atrium of HSBC Arena. Pegula will be joined at the press conference by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
Terry Pegula will have no further comment on the purchase of the team until the press conference on Tuesday.
