Lindy Ruff and the coaches assembled the the team for a meeting, to presumably watch the blooper reel of high jinx (and lack thereof) from the Boston game.
I like the idea of a meeting. The coaches get to clear the air and the players have to listen to the criticisms.
Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News was at Bell Centre, and commented that Lindy Ruff was "hot" after the team meeeting. One assumes that Ruff likely tore his team a new one in the meeting, hence, was not willing to do so again in the media. Harrington also tweeted that Ruff declined to speak with the media.
Harrington also tweeted that Ryan Miller was in the training room and was unavailable for comment.
Paul Gaustad spoke after the team meeting. Gaustad spoke up about how his team has to step up and represent one another when the jackassery begins on the ice. Gaustad was on the ice, two feet away from Lucic after the collision and yet opted to keep his mitts on. Credit to Vanek for at least charging at the fool. Goose, Myers, and Sekera curiously kept their distance.
Thanks, sabres.com
According to sabres.com, Miller is suffering from a neck injury that he suffered on this Milan Lucic contract hit last night in the first period of the game in Beantown.
Robyn Regehr is not pleased with went down in Boston.

Sabres GM, Darcy Regier, has asked the NHL to review the Lucic sucker shot on Miller. No word as to whether the league has done so or not yet.

Were I Lindy Ruff, I'd use this incident as an opportunity to park a veteran forward and a veteran Dman in the press box in Montreal. I'd call Ron Rolston and ask for Zack Kassian and Brayden McNabb to join the Sabres in Montreal. Kassian is 6'3 220. He loves to mix it up. He happens to be the leading scorer in Rochster right now. He won't back down. McNabb is a ferocious defender and at 6'5 and 235, he is a nasty S.O.B.
Also available for recall is Big Joe Finley, the 6'8 260 pound, ornery giant. Finely is a former first round draft choice of the Washington Cpaitals out of NoDak. Finely leads the Amerks with 38 PIMs in 13 games played this season.
Sit Leino and Sekera (or Ehrhoff).
Its time for an adrenaline boost.
