1st Period:

1-0 Sabres

Marcus Foligno kept his promise. He scored in front of the home fanatics and he rewarded them with the trademark "Foligno Jump".

The scorching hot Tyler Ennis fed the big man the rock as he went hard to Varlamov's office. Puck his Foligno and went in the net.

As the play was being reviewed in Toronto, the house DJ blared Van Halen's "Jump" over the PA!

The only thing greasier than Marcus's two NHL goals: "A Garbage Plate” .

The newly formed Foligno-Ennis-Stafford line is the hottest line in the NHL right now!

The Sabres are 11-1-3 this season when Ennis records a point.

Ennis extends his scoring streak to three games (3 goals, 1 assist). Ennis has 12 points (6G, 6A) in his last 15 games.

Drew Stafford now has four points (1G, 3A) in his last two games.

Stafford's goal was Buffalo's fourth SHG of the season and first of his career.

Foligno has two goals and one assist in last three games.

1-1

Alex Sulzer blows coverage on the wall in the neutral zone and allows Stastny and McGinn to collaborate on his 18th.

****

2-1 Sabres

with Sulzer in the clink, Stafford strips former Team USA bro, Peter Mueller, charges in and beats Varlamov through the 5 hole.

Short handed goal

2-2

Sabres fail to clear the crease and Jones scores the equalizer with 52 ticks left on the clock.

2nd Period:

Uber-rookie Gabriel Landeskog scores his 20th on the PP.

Moments later....

3-3

Marcus Foligno scores his second goal of the night.

#beauty!

From @AmerksHockey:

Interesting fact: It took Mike Foligno 9 games to score his first 3 NHL goals while Nick Foligno did so in 19 games. It took Marcus just 4

3rd Period:

4-3 Sabres

Looked like Foligno got his third goal of the game.. hats rained down from the heavens... but...

Alex Sulzer gets credit for the goal. Foligno is +3.

4-4

Landeskog creates the goal by bull dogging the puck into the buffalo zone.

With Varlamov on the bench for the extra attacker, Avs score on the 6 on 5 play-- for the second game in a row. Buffalo did the same thing on Monday night vs. Montreal, by allowing a back-breaking goal in the final seconds of the game.

Live from the Ted Darling Memorial Press Box...

We've got a dandy percolating here in Buffalo.

My focus tonight will be on the two Calder Trophy candidates:

Buffalo's Cody Hodgson vs. Colorado's Gabriel Landeskog.

Each were OHL snipers who have transitioned nicely to the NHL.

Hodgson, the Brampton Battalion legend, was Vancouver's first round pick (10th overall) in 2008. He's scoreless in seven games with Buffalo since the trade. He scored 16 goals and added 17 assists in 63 games with the Canucks this season. I'm looking for him to have a breakout game in front of friends and family here tonight.

Landeskog, the second overall pick in last June's entry draft, is having himself an impressive rookie campaign, as well. He has 19 goals and 25 assists in 71 games thus far this season.

Time for #CoHo get the home fans on their feet tonight!
