It took them less time to meet than it would have to go from Ronkonkoma to Brooklyn, but it's reported the NHL has presented the NHLPA with a new proposal attempting to salvage an 82 game season, providing the season was to start on November 2nd.

Also proposed was a 50/50 split of HRR.

Okay, now we are getting somewhere. However, I believe the NHLPA will drag their feet, throw their arms around and say they 'have to think about it.'

And we, the fans, will wait while having to watch Dancing with the Stars and football.

The NHLPA has not made a proposal since their first one weeks ago. The NHL decided to blink first. I believe the NHLPA will try to take advantage of that. Meanwhile, those PA members who did NOT make more than $1 million a year just missed their first paycheck and maybe have to start looking at their budgets.

NHLPA to have a 5 pm conference call with executive board and negotiating committee. Fehr will present all items then. Many items are in the proposal and some may not be to the PA's liking. So this may take awhile.

Get this done.
Get it over with.
Hit the ice -- or else.
