Welcome one and all to the latest in the stump-tastic edition of “Who Am I?”!!! The last two instalments have been particularly tough for you all, something I’m more than willing to admit I am VERY pleased with! I’m hoping I can make it a solid three in a row with the newest set of clues, but I’d be remiss if we didn’t have a look at the solution to last weeks’ test first! So here we go!!!
1. I am a hall of famer. (NHL - 1990)
2. I won a single Stanley Cup. (Toronto Maple Leafs - 1951)
3. I had a particularly personal relationship with my head coach and General Manager during one of my latter pro seasons. (I was player, head coach and General Manager for the AHL Providence Reds - 1963/64)
4. I was captain of an original six franchise. (Boston Bruins - 1955-1961)
5. I am best known in my post-playing career as a college coach. (Northeastern University - 1970-1989)
Who Am I? I’m............Fernie Flaman!!!!
With that out of the way, why don’t you have a go at these little nuggets of info? Remember, this isn’t only about coming up with the name. Rather, it’s about being able to show how you got there. Given that, post up your evidence in the comments sections along with the individual’s name, and bask in the respect and admiration of your peers for having been able to connect the dots as only a master hockey historian can!
