Sabres GM Darcy Regier just announced in Buffalo that 18 year old rookie and former first rounder (12th overall 2012 draft), Mikhail Grigorenko will in fact play tonight vs. Toronto. Thus ending all speculation as to whether he will be sent back to the Quebec Remparts.
Kevin Snow of sabres.com tweeted that Grigo will play in his sixth game tonight and will be added to the Buffalo roster for the rest of the season.
Grigo joins an exclusive class of rookies will will stick and stay with their NHL clubs in Nail Yakupov, Alex Galchenyuk, Dougie Hamilton, and Jonathon Huberdeau.
