It was with great sadness on both sides that the Flyers career of Danny Briere officially came to an end today. Everyone in Philadelphia will miss him. Danny will land on his feet and his next team will see why he's so admired on and off the ice.

Montreal the early frontrunner to sign him. Other teams currently in the mix include St Louis, Nashville and Pittsburgh.

Also, Lindy Ruff appears to be closing in on the Dallas coaching job. Still not set in stone, though. There are other teams still kicking tires.
