Umberger for Hartnell Swap; Six Named To Hockey Hall Of Fame |

The Hockey Hall Of Fame has named their 2014 class this afternoon and Rob Blake, Peter Forsberg, Dominik Hasek and Mike Modano have been chosen, Pat Burns has been selected in the builder category and former referee Bill McCreary, to go along with USA Today columnist Kevin Allen, who was announced earlier in the month as the Elmer Ferguson Award winner and Chicago Blackhawks play-by-play man Pat Foley, winner of the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for broadcasting.

This is two teams making a culture change trade. Plain and simple. These are two prominent locker room guys and are very similar players. One might wonder if the Blue Jackets now go after Kesler...
On Phaneuf...
Avalanche are entering this....but still the Flyers and Oilers look to be leading the way..
On Michalek...
Nashville and Phoenix are the clear cut favorites...Laviolette is a BIG fan of Milan
On Byfuglien...
Another option for Philly who would play him on the Blue line...which he prefers for sure...Montreal also in on this more and more...Islanders poking around.
On Winnik...
Anaheim would like to retain him, but were I a betting man I would look to Winnipeg...
On Statsny...
Still believe he ends up back with Colorado...but the Blues may have something to say about this one...depending on some RFAs they are trying to lock up.
On Niskanen...
Pittsburgh may be making some strides towards retaining Matt...however, Detroit and now Ottawa will be definite options..
On Markov...

Recent trends among the rumor mill and folks I spend my days and nights talking to have the Leafs rising fast for Dan Boyle...however the Red Wings are still my favorite...but the Bruins are lurking like a storm off the coast..
