For those of you wondering where this blog originates from; I'll briefly fill you in on the details.
After Jeff Cowan scored his second of the game in the Canucks 5-1 trouncing of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night, a very generous fan threw a bra onto the ice in front of 18,630 fans at GM Place and the scores of viewers on TV.
Willie Mitchell graciously picked the bra up with the blade of his hockey stick and with the help of the ref, politely disposed of it in the penalty box with a smile on his face the entire time. Who wouldn't be grinning from ear to ear.
Many Vancouver fans are hoping a new tradition of 'bra tossing' has started in Canuckland. And I thought this kind of thing only happened in Las Vegas.
So without further ado, here's my rendition of the appropriate 'support' certain Canuck players might receive when they score, courtesy of our very good friends over at Victoria's Secret.
