On Thursday, Ottawa announced their roster for the upcoming rookie tournament in London, Ontario, where they'll face off against fellow rookies from Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Chicago. The 24-man roster will compete on the following days:

As one would expect, the forward group is the intriguing part of Ottawa's roster -- the defensive corps, less so. Ottawa really has done well to assemble respectable forward groups at different tiers and development stages, and it's created a couple of situations where talented players can be on the outside looking in at the NHL and AHL levels. I mean, look at the names coming together for just a rookie camp: Lazar, Prince, the trio of forwards acquired in the Jason Spezza, deal. It's a really sound bunch.
Defensively, I'll just say that I'll be more or less watching to see how Fredrik Claesson looks. The organization's raved about him in months past, and his counting/underlying numbers last year were pretty respectable.
