Although he could be moved I continue to hear Toronto would like to sign him and keep him. That may or may not be possible, but he is the kind of player that Shanahan likes moving forward...Calgary, St Louis, and Pitt are among the team who have interest if he can't be extended.
On Chris Stewart...
While it would help if he picked up his play a bit there are still teams out there who are willing to take a risk if the price is discounted from where it is now...Winnipeg is a big one to look at here..possibly Nashville and Calgary(e4).
On Jiri Tlusty...
Carolina wants to keep him as well, but the market might be too tempting in this case. Tlusty has thrived in Carolina though and should consider the fit. Montreal(e3) is suddenly very hot on this player I am told. Washington and Vancouver(e3) are also keeping close tabs.
On Jake Gardiner...
It really sounds like Pittsburgh is the most willing to take a shot here...(e4)
On Cody Franson...
Edmonton, who everyone would expect to be in on Gardiner, has shown more interest in Franson...I am not convinced that Toronto moves him however...They want to keep him, but the sides are definitely in all out "posturing mode."
