Once again, credit to the Islanders for matching the Sabres' forecheck pressure.
The Sabres had to fight for every inch of real estate tonight. The Islanders were stout and would not relent.
Miller was the difference in the game. He made the saves he had to make to keep the Sabres alive early on in the game.
DiPietro made some key saves, but left long rebounds and loose pucks all over the place tonight.

I've now heard it all!
In between the first and second periods on the MSG network feed, Colin Campbell and Mike Murphy were efeatured in a piece that describes the process for goal revie wthat happens in the war Room in Toronto.
In the piece, Murphy talks about the new standards for reviewing and reversing goal calls, and how difficult it may be at times.
They made the correct call on the Vanek Goal in Game 3.

Campbell dropped a bomb at the end of the peice when he said, "if we had had this process in place in '99, we would have used this process to arrive at the right call...."
Did Campbell just admit that the Sabres were screwed on their home ice ?
