The Hawks have tied up a huge part of their championship team, as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Chicago and defenseman Brent Seabrook have agreed to an eight-year contract extension for $55 Million ($6.85 Million per season).

This max deal would pay the 30-year-old Seabrook $1.3 Million per season more than 2015 Conn Smythe Trophy winner Duncan Keith and would expire in 2023-24, the year after Keith's 13-year deal ends.
