In this edition of the hotstove we share our rankings for the top-5 goaltenders in the NHL right now.

Todd Cordell

1. Carey Price - This is about who is the best right now and Carey Price is coming off an incredible season that earned him a Hart Trophy so I'm not sure anybody else could sit No. 1.

2. Tuukka Rask - Is 2nd in the NHL with a .937 save percentage at 5 vs 5 over the last two years.

3. Henrik Lundqvist - Has been a model of consistency recording a .920 save percentage or better in six consecutive years. That is, uh, tough to do.

4. Cory Schneider - Owns a .925 career save percentage and is 3rd in the NHL (behind Price and Rask) with a .930 save percentage at 5 vs 5 over the last couple years.

5. Sergei Bobrovsky - He had a bit of a down year because everyone was injured in front of him but Bobrovsky owns a .932 save percentage at 5 vs 5 since 2012. He is my Vezina pick this year.

John Jaeckel

1. Carey Price

Proved it last season. Does it while playing under a microscope in a tough market. Well-schooled and athletic.

2. Jonathan Quick

Proven winner, can really shut it down, and has the hardware. Had an "off" year last season, but will likely bounce back.

3. Pekka Rinne

Just consistently strong. Huge. Plays under control.

4. Henrik Lundqvist

The King still has the goods even though he seems to have stepped back a bit the last couple of years.

5. Tuuka Rask

A big game goalie with all the tools.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Corey Crawford, Sergei Bobrovsky, Braden Holtby.
