Jamie McGinn is part man, part ShopVac.
The burly 27 year old has perfected the fine art of scoring goals from 4 feet away from the enemy net. That is where 90% of the goals in today's NHL are scored. McGinn lives in the dirtiest and greasiest of areas. He now has q5 goals that he has scored from within 4 feet of the net.
McGinn told me recently that he doesn't give a rat's ass how pretty (or not) his goals are.

McGinn, traded to the Anaheim Ducks on Monday, scored his 15th goal of the season and first as a Duck by stuffing a fat, juicy rebound in the Montreal cage on Wednesday night.
McGinn skated a shift alongside Ricky Rakell and Scorey Perry in Anaheim's ninth straight win.
The Ducks have now won 23 of 29 games played since December 27.
The Anaheim Ducks are tied for first place in the Pacific Division after a dramatic 3-2 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
The Ducks are now tied with the LA Kings for the pole position seat in their division.
The turnaround the Ducks have made is astounding. The team that started the season 1-7-2 and at one point looked shaky to make the playoffs, is now in first place.
Anaheim was 29th in the NHL on December 29, but the Ducks pulled off an incredible comeback that includes a 16-1-1 record in their last 18 games and a 23-4-2 mark since the Christmas break.
McGinn should be kissing Tim Murray's ring for his collaborative move to trade McGinn to the hottest team in the NHL. McGinn said Wednesday that the Ducks were the only team that he wanted to be traded to. McGinn alluded to not being thrilled that his named was liked via trade rumors to the Florida Panthers and Minnesota Wild.
Murray did right by McGinn.
McGinn can do right by Murray by re-signing with the Sabres as a UFA on July 1.
Until then, McGinn will continue to terrorize enemy goalies and defenseman.
