Tons of talk today as I continue to hear discussions going on between the Kings and Islanders...one source adding: "The Islanders are trying to get creative in their deal making...don't be shocked if a three-way deal is the result. The pressure is mounting and Garth is very creative."
The Kings are still talking to the Islanders, but so are the Maple Leafs...The Leafs are very much in the market for help on the defensive side.
On Trouba...
Trouba is signed and many are saying he could be dealt sooner than later...The Jets aren't thinking that way however. I continue to hear the Jets hope is that Trouba grows to like the team and as the team improves he might want to re-up. The Jets have done this before...most recently with Frolik....and eventually Frolik became a UFA and did leave town...but that was pre-Laine...
