Rumor has it Evander Kane will probably be traded by the Buffalo Sabres this off-season. With that in mind, we discuss the best potential fit for the 25-year-old winger.

The Los Angeles Kings have been mentioned as a potential landing spot and I think they make a ton of sense.
They don't have much on their roster in terms of goal scoring and could definitely use a volume shooter/scorer like Kane. He would bring a needed element of speed to the team, too, and fits in with their physical style of play.
My wild card option would be the Ducks. Like the Kings, they have defense to spare and I think Kane would be a good fit stylistically. A deal centered around, say, Sami Vatanen and Kane would set the Ducks up perfectly to keep 7-3-1 for the expansion draft, too, assuming Kevin Bieksa waives his NMC.

For Kane to end up in Vancouver would be a host he shock. The Canucks have had many chances to trade for him and have pulled away- probably for good reason. The Kings, on the other hand, have a need for scoring and talent in Kane's age range. He's not cheap but if you look close Kane was on a 30 goal pace again this year and that's something the Kings need.
So what's the gamble? A guy who has million dollar skill with about .25 cents of common sense. Have to wonder how much of a risk it is to have Kane in LA though. Could be the perfect fit or a total disaster- do you want to make that bet?
