Kimmo Timonen will make his official Philly debut at a presser tomorrow afternoon at Skate Zone in Flyerdom.
First time the writers get a chance to meet him ...

So what about this rumor buzzing through Flyerdom concerning Peter Forsberg?
The one that says Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren met with Foppa about coming back this season on Monday afternoon.
“Not really,” Holmgren told me.
The two played a round of golf. Yes, the subject of Forsberg’s health came up.
“He still doesn’t know what he wants to do this season because he is still not healthy,” Holmgren said.
Forsberg is 34 with a pair of very bad feet, especially the surgically-repaired right foot which ruined last season.
Unless the health of his foot improves significantly, it’s unlikely Forsberg will play. He also had a hernia this summer.
Foppa was in New York this weekend and came down to play golf with Holmgren before flying to Montreal on Monday night.
Everything Forsberg told Holmgren matches up with what agent Don Baizley told me in July and repeated this week to Pierre Lebrun of Canadian Press: Forsberg’s return to the ice is “not imminent.”
Baizley told me Forsberg would likely not be ready until sometime after the season begins " if things go well.
That hasn’t changed. I don’t see a Foppa decision until around December which is what all of us had been led to believe, anyway.
At the moment, Teemu Selanne, another Baizley client, has a better chance of being on the ice than Forsberg. Selanne still has not told his agent whether he intends to play or retire.
I believe what Teemu said after winning the Cup _ the thought of retiring as a champion _ especially after the bitter loss in the gold medal game at the previous Winter Olympics _ isn’t a bad way to leave the ice.
Anaheim and the Flyers both are dangerously close to the $50.3 million salary cap for the season. The Ducks are sitting at $48.9 and the Flyers are at $49.4.
