On a beautiful Summer, Wednesday evening in Edina, Minnesota, you will find NHL players playing hockey in the greatest "beer league" in the Country.

Braemar Arena is the home to the Da Beauty League, a Summer 4 on 4 league which features 6 teams loaded with NHL talent playing alongside minor pros and college players. The fans are treated to three games featuring two 23 minute running clock halves. Each of the six teams play Wednesdays in July and Monday and Wednesday in August.

The games are fast paced and packed full of entertainment. Skill and speed is the theme of the league, and the players dig deep into their bags of tricks to dazzle the crowd. It is all about entertainment and the Da Beauty League, now in it's third season, is giving the State of Hockey faithful an amazing showcase featuring many of the State's greatest talents.

Here are the "official" Da Beauty League rules:

Da Beauty League Rules
Rule #1: Have Fun!
Rule #2: No room for Non-Beauties

Other Rules include:
-Da Beauty League features NHL players
-4-4 game plus goalies
-Games have two (2) 23-minute halves
-Offsides, icing, & all other rules of hockey apply
-Move your feet, move the puck, light the lamp
*we may have some other surprises!*

There are 49 NHL players on DaBeauty rosters highlighted of course by Wild stars, Zach Parise and Jason Zucker who are joined by goaltender Alex Stalock along with Nate Prosser, Gustav Olofsson, Kyle Rau,and Justin Kloos and newly acquired Matt Hendricks and Matt Read.

Other NHL notables are the Islander, Minnesota trio of Anders Lee, Brock Nelson, and Nick Leddy. Dustin Byfuglien(Jets), Brock Boeser(Canucks), Jake Guentzel(Penguins), Derek Stapan and Alex Goligoski (Coyotes), Erik Haula (Golden Knights), Casey Mittelstadt, Zach Bogosian (Sabres), James (Flyers)and Trevor (Hurricanes) van Riemsdyk, Jake Gardiner (Maple Leafs), Brady Skjei and Vinni Letteri (Rangers) Ryan McDonough (Lightning), Nick Bjugstad (Panthers), Justin Braun (Sharks), Mikey Reillyand Charlie Lindgren (Canadiens).

A lot of hype goes to the NBA Summer League in Vegas featuring rookies and lower tier talent, but nothing comes close to what the Da Beauty League offers. An up close and personal look at top tier NHL talent playing in a local rink having a blast showing off their elite skill all for a $10 admission price.

Not only do the players put on a show on the ice, they are accessible after the games as well signing autographs for all who desire. They stop and take photos with kids as a regular practice and the smiles and laughter spread from the ice to the crowd.

There truly is nothing like this anywhere and a must see for everyone, hockey fan or not. I guarantee that if a non-hockey fan experienced the Da Beauty League, there is a very good chance that they would be hooked on hockey once they left.

This is most certainly a Beauty of a League!!!

If you can make it out to Braemar Arena for the Da Beauty League, do it!
