Best players - week two

The Kontinental Hockey League’s commission has determined the best player of the second week of the Regular Season in four categories.

- Best goaltender was Jakub Kovar (Avtomobilist), who won two away games last week. The Czech netminder ended the week with a save percentage of 96.30 and a goals-against average of 1.00.

- Best defenseman was Alexander Yelesin (Lokomotiv), who had one goal and one assist in two matches, one of them being an away game. Yelesin posted no negative ratings, earning a +3 for the week. Moreover, he had eight shots on goal, recorded 8 hits and blocked seven shots.

- Best forward was Juuso Puustinen (Neftekhimik), who won three away games of four, scoring four goals (the best result in the week by a player of his role) and two assists, earning a +1 for the week. Juuso scored a hat-trick in the game against Sibir. The Finn forward scored points in all games in the past week and had 20 shots on goal (best result in the week).

- Best rookie was Nikita Mikhailov (Sibir), who scored three goals and one assist in three games. The 20-year-old forward scored goals in all the games in the week and posted no negative ratings, earned a +1 for the week and had an average time on ice of 13 minutes and 33 seconds.
