Hockey is back, at least in some respects.

The Anaheim Ducks will open the preseason tonight against the San Jose Sharks and, according to NHL.com will ice the following lineup:

SC1: Kopacka-Getzlaf-Terry
SC2: Rodin-Morand-Tropp
SC3: Gibbons-Rowney-Cogliano
SC4: Blandisi-Street-Sideroff

DF1: Fowler-Schenn
DF2: Pettersson-Montour
DF:3 Thompson-Sustr

G1: Coreau
G2: Boyle

Of note:

Anaheim still has 64 players on their training camp roster, which means we won’t see a ton of familiar faces. However, Ryan Getzlaf, Tory Terry, and Andrew Cogliano will all make the trip, while Fowler, Montour, and Pettersson make up the familiar faces on the defensive end.

My eyes (if I’m able to stream the game) will be on Terry and Brian Gibbons. I’m interested to see if Gibbons can make some “I should be the permanent fourth line winger” noise, especially since Nick Ritchie isn’t signed yet.

The game is in San Jose and looks to be streamable from the Shark’s website, both audio and video:
