All NHL teams were required to file their season-opening rosters with the National Hockey League by 5 p.m. eastern time yesterday. Alphabetically, here is the Stars opening-night roster:
Jamie Benn, Ben Bishop (G), Connor Carrick, Blake Comeau, Jason Dickinson, Radek Faksa, Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, Julius Honka, Mattias Janmark, Anton Khudobin (G), John Klingberg, Esa Lindell, Marc Methot, Valeri Nichushkin, Tyler Pitlick, Roman Polak, Alexander Radulov, Brett Ritchie, Tyler Seguin, Devin Shore, Gemel Smith, Jason Spezza.
Injured reserve list: Martin Hanzal, Stephen Johns.
The Stars, not unexpectedly, lost young role-playing left winger Remi Elie to waivers on Tuesday. The Buffalo Sabres claimed the 23-year-old, who dressed in 72 games for Dallas last season under now-former head coach Ken Hitchcock. Veteran AHL center Justin Dowling and defenseman Joel Hanley both cleared waivers on Tuesday and were assigned to the American Hockey League's Texas Stars to start the season.
The Stars host the Arizona Coyotes on regular season opening night on Thursday. Game time is 7:30 p.m. CDT.
