Winnipeg over Toronto.

The Leafs *might* have the best group of centers in the NHL and, when William Nylander re-signs, their wingers look really good too. Up front they are as fast, skilled, and deep as pretty much any team in the league.

On defense they're pretty top-heavy but I would expect them to bring in some help prior to the deadline. I think Frederik Andersen is capable of masking some problems in the meantime.

Like Toronto, Winnipeg would have to run the gauntlet to make it this far but I think they have the talent to do it. There is a a ton of star power on the Jets and they have enough depth to trot out Nik Ehlers, Jack Roslovic and Kristian Vesalainen on the 3rd line, which is downright scary. They could use another quality defender, although Sami Niku could be that. If Connor Hellebuyck has another strong year in goal, the sky is the limit for this team.

I’ll say that the Winnipeg Jets beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in the finals. Neither of them have any gaping holes on their rosters, and I feel like this could be the Jets year. It will be an incredibly close and entertaining series that goes to game 7. Sorry Lightning fans, just not quite your year again.

I love and hate doing this because you bring out the homer in you as much as the realist.

In the East, the Leafs lose to the Penguins in the conference final sending Pittsburgh back to the SCF.

In the West, the Jets fall to the Sharks in the conference final in Winnipeg with Evander Kane receiving venom like no other.

The Sharks capture their first Stanley Cup by beating Pittsburgh in 6 games.

I predict that the Stanley Cup will be won this year by the St. Louis Blues. I do not think they are the best team right now, but I believe that one of two things will happen that will vault them to the top of the league: Jake Allen will figure it out, or they'll get a new goalie. My pick would have been the Toronto Maple Leafs, but their defense is garbage. If they retire Ron Hainsey then I'll give them a chance, but as long as they have the worst collection of left wingers and right side defenseman in the NHL, I'm going with the Blues.
