Will the Coyotes Score Tonight?

The Coyotes have not scored a goal at even-strength this season.

They were shutout three times in five games, and have only scored goals so far this season on the powerplay and the shootout.

In order to break the streak, the Coyotes have turned to former NHL player Ken Daneyko and signed him to a one year deal.

The 56 year old Daneyko is the only one who can be trusted to break the Coyotes unfortunate scoreless ways, since he once faced a similar 255 games without scoring a goal. Clearly he knows how to operate under this kind of pressure.

Look for Daneyko tonight when the Coyotes play the Blackhawks.

It does not look like Alex Galchenyuk will be playing tonight. He has been cleared for contact and should be back soon, but likely not today. The Coyotes desperately need him. He is tied for the Coyotes team lead in 5v5 scoring, afterall.

In other news, forward David Ulstrom has been placed on waivers.

The 29 year old Swede hasn't played an NHL game since 2013, which means he too also leads the Coyotes in 5v5 scoring this season. Hard to believe they cut him.

In even more other news, I have just spilled a lot of coffee. This is going to be a problem.

Have a great night, enjoy the game.

Prediction: the Coyotes will hit the over tonight.
