The Kings are in a spiral right now and there is a strong feeling around the NHL that GM Rob Blake is looking to make a "shake-up" move without yet committing his team to a total rebuild. Meanwhile, in Montreal and on the Island both teams have strong interest in Kings D-man Jake Muzzin....Muzzin would indeed look really good in either situation.

Flyers shopping for a goalie?

It's a really interesting time in Philadelphia. The wheels are coming off and the team is heading out for a 11 day 4 game west coast swing...Hextall is strongly implying that things need to turn around yesterday...If this road trip wasn't happening I would be very curious if I'd be reporting on something much bigger right now...

But here we are.

In that vein, Mike Smith has been less than solid for Calgary...and is in the final year of his contract....I am starting to hear rumors that the Flyers may have interest there...
