Thoughts on the Bruins Winter Classic jerseys?

On Thursday the Bruins revealed their 2019 Winter Classic jerseys. On January 1st, the Bruins will skate in their third Winter Classic. After hosting the Flyers at Fenway Park in 2010 and most recently the Montreal Canadiens at Gillette Stadium in 2016, the Bruins will hit the road this time.

Notre Dame Stadium will be the host as the Bruins meet the Blackhawks in what will be Chicago’s 190th outdoor—not really 190, but seems like it—game.

In 2010, the team went with gold and brown jerseys, the colors the franchise wore when the franchise began in 1924. For 2016, the jerseys were black with yellow stripes on the arm. A small bear separated the words “Boston” and “Bruins,” a rather plan jersey compared to the ones in 2010.

But the jerseys revealed today, are absolute beauties.

The brown and gold pays homage to the Bruins teams of the 30’s. The throwback “B” fits nicely in the center of the uniform. Inside the jersey behind the neck, you’ll find six shamrocks, each symbolizing the six Stanley Cup victories in franchise history.

The Blackhawks will reveal their jerseys later today.

I absolutely love the throwbacks, how about you?
