A very quick poolside blog leading up to tonight’s game.

The Hawks play has seemed to improve game-by-game under Colliton, but they really just need to get that first win out of the way, which would end this 8 game losing streak.

Here are a few things I will be looking for tonight:

* Jeremy’s Guys: the Hawks have received most of their scoring from Toews, Kane and Debrincat; they need some scoring depth from the rest, especially from their bottom 6. Maybe Jeremy can get some of his former IceHogs like Johnson, Hayden and Kampf to start putting up some goals.

* Gustav Forsling Returns: how will the defence look now? Can Forsling’s return help out that much? I guess we’ll see tonight when he skates alongside Brandon Manning.

* 5-on-5 Play: It appears that what Colliton is preaching is working at some level. The Hawks play has been much better and in the last game didn’t surrender a 5-on-5 goal. They are trending in the right direction. Now, they need it to all click tonight.

It will be nice to have Saad back in action to add a bit more of a punch to that 3rd line.
