On November 13, the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in Buffalo to extend their win streak to three games.

Tonight in Tampa, the Sabres are looking for win number eleven in a row.

The Sabres defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night to extend their current win streak to ten games.

The Sabres enter the frozen oval tonight on their first 10-game winning streak since the team won its first 10 games of the 2006-07 season. With a win tonight, the Sabres would exceed the franchise record for most consecutive wins, set in January 1984. The record was tied during the 10-game win streak in October 2006.


Sabres fans want their team to keep the win streak alive in Tampa tonight.


“1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.....WE WANT 11!!”, exhultations were screamed by 18,000 passionate fans at 100 decibels after the San Jose win.


Gilbert Perreault, the greatest Sabre of them all, wore iconic sweater numnber 11.












In addition to the three official 10-game winning streaks, the Sabres have twice won at least 10 consecutive regular-season games during streaks that spanned two seasons: 15 games (April 8 to October 26, 2006) and 11 games (April 1 to October 26, 1975).




With a win or overtime loss tonight, the Sabres would have points in 11 straight games for the first time since December 26 to January 18, 2010 (8-0-3). The last time the Sabres made the playoffs was 2010.




The Sabres (36 points) enter tonight’s tilt with Tampa Bay in first place in the Eastern Conference after 25 games played.



This is the 100th game all-time between The Sabres and Lightning. Buffalo owns a 55-36-8 al-time series record.


The Sabres are 29-18-3 on the road against the Lightning all-time.

Captain Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner continue to carry their team on their shoulders.

Eichel and Skinner are on pace to shatter their personal bests in terms of points.

Eichel (5G,23A) and Skinner (19G,8A) are on trend to achieve career-best points production at even strength that ranks the dynamic duo among the best even-strength players in the NHL this season. Eichel has 21 even strength points in 25 games while Skinner has 19 even strength points in 25 games.

At his current pace, Eichel would complete the regular season with the fourth-most even-strength points ever recorded by a Buffalo Sabre (69), trailing only Pat LaFontaine (83) and Alexander Mogilny (78) in 1992-93, and Gilbert Perreault in 1975-76 (70). Eichel would become the first Sabre to record more than 90 points since Danny Briere (95) achieved that feat in 2006-07.


Skinner is currently on pace to achieve the second-highest goal total (62) in Sabres history, trailing only Mogilny in 1992-93 (76). His 46 even-strength goals would finish behind only Mogilny’s even-strength total from that season (49) for most in team history.

With 19 goals in just 25 games played this season, Skinner is in pace to score 65 goals this season.

Buffalo goalies continue to hold the fort while 17 different players have scored during Buffalo’s 10-game winning streak.

With each and every performance this season, Carter Hutton continues to dominate opponents.

Hutton is 8-0-0 with a .936 SV% and a 1.97 GAA in his last last 8 games. It’s gettin’ HUT in here!

Sabres trios and Duos have been confirmed.

Marco Scandella and Conor Sheary are out for the second game in a row. Beaulieu and Elie will remain in the lineup. Tonight will be Beaulieu’s 300th NHL career game. Evan Rodrigues will play in his 100th career NHL game.
