CUJO and Hitchcock return, Blues need to start winning ASAP |

If you notice, I’m going to just ignore the debacle in the desert last Saturday. What is the old adage about sayings your mother taught you, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything. Needless to say, the Blues road trip was pretty much an abject failure in only getting 2 of 6 points and suffering decimating injuries along the way. With the way things are going, the Blues will be “official” “sellers” by Christmas.
Tonight they host the Edmonton Oilers and former coach, Ken Hitchcock. The Oilers are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and 6-8-1 on the road. They are 6th worst in scoring and 15th in defense while having the 6th worst power play. Both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are averaging more than a point a game with 35 points in 26 games and 30 points in 27 games respectively. The Blues will face Cam Talbot in net tonight. Talbot is only stopping 88.9% of the shots he faces so far this season.

Former Blue Curtis Joseph will be in town tonight, signing autographs on his newly released book. As someone who has gotten to know Curtis on a personal level over the last couple of years and had the pleasure of playing hockey with him, I’m really looking forward to reading the book. I’m sure it will have some stories that I have already heard and a lot I haven’t. Lucky for me, I know I’m getting it as a stocking stuff for Christmas. I hope you will consider getting it for anyone who had the pleasure of following CUJO play. And as a side note, yes I have seen him strap on the pads and boy can he still move. He stays in great shape and it was unbelievable in how he moved in the new pads.
