Koivu Out Short Term, Kunin Recalled

Mikko Koivu will not be lost long term, looks to be more like 3-4 weeks. That is tremendous news as they can ill afford to lose the captain for any time, but the original fear of ligament tear would have been devastating.

Kunin has 8 goals and 15 points through 21 games with Iowa this season, including a goal and 2 assists last night.

With Koivu on the shelf the Wild have recalled Luke Kunin from Iowa. Not yet sure where Kunin slots into the lineup, or the powerplay.

At this point I hope that Boudreau gives the kid a long look on one of the PP units.
