Since he burst onto the scene last season, Ondrej Kase has shown he has the ability to make his teammates and the team better around him. If you didn't know this before then you must be "woke" following his latest heroics.

Kase found the back of the net three times in Anaheim's 6-3 victory over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night. He recorded his first career hat trick on five shots in a dominating performance on Star Wars Night. Yes, the force was strong in Kase on this night.

The 23-year-old helped the Ducks rally from a 3-1 second-period deficit by scoring the first three goals for his team before Anaheim broke the game open in the third period. The Ducks scored five unanswered goals to double up Dallas and cruise to their 17th win on the season.

It was Anaheim's ninth win in the last 11 games and a second consecutive game with five or more goals scored and the third time in five games with as many. The offense is finally coming around and I have to believe Ondrej Kase is the catalyst for that.

The 23-year-old has eight goals and 14 points in 15 games this season, He's been white-hot, collecting nine points (5g 4a) in the last five games.

In the 14 games since Kase returned from injury, the Ducks are 9-3-2 and climbing in the standings. The currently sit second in the Pacific Division, three points behind the equally hot Calgary Flames.

Since Kase's return, Anaheim is averaging three goals per games compared to 2.36 in the first 19 games when they went just 8-8-3. Difference maker? You tell me. The Ducks are a more creative, exciting and fun team to watch with this guy on the ice.

Kase finished last season with 20 goals and 38 points in 66 games. This season he's on pace for 34 goals and 60 points in 64 games. A definite uptick and a good omen for the Ducks moving forward. If there is a knock on Kase it's his health. Fingers crossed he's squashed the injury bug this season.

And this guys locked up for the next three years for next to nothing. Bob Murray, the force is strong in you too.
