KHL has named their weekly list of best players and the list includes Kristian Vesalainen, Joni Ortio, Lauris Darzins, and Denis Bodrov.

Best goalie of the week - Joni Ortio earned three victories and one shutout (his first in the KHL) with a save percentage of 98,04 as well as averaging 0.67 goals against.

Best Defensemen of the week - Denis Bodrov of ''Avtomobilist'' Jekaterinburgh. His team won all three games last week while the player earned 4 points (3G1A) in them.

Best forward of the week - Lauris Darzins of Dinamo Riga who managed to score three goals and record four assists during that stint. Although Riga has been struggling lately he managed to put up points in all the games as well as recording a multi-goal game against ''Slovan'' Bratislava.

Best Rookie was no other than the player recently loaned from the Winnipeg ''Jets'' to the Jokerit Helsinki - Kristian Vesalainen. The young Jets prospect scored 4 points (2GA2) in four games. The 19-year-old Finn averaged time on ice of 16 minutes and 39 seconds as well as scored points in all games he took part in.
