KHL's best of the week

KHL has some serious veterans amongst best players of the week.


- best goalie was Julius Hudacek (Spartak), who won three games of three last week (including one shutout and one shootout win). His shutout in the Tuesday’s game against Jokerit was for the Slovak goalie his first in the 2018/2019 season. Hudacek post a saves percentage of 96,39% and a goals-against average of 0,96.

- best defenseman was Alexei Emelin (Avangard), who won two games of three with his team last week, scoring 3 (1+2) points. The veteran defenseman posted no negative ratings, earning a plus-1 for the week. Emelin had 11 shots on goal, recorded 10 hits, and logged an average time on ice of 24 minutes and 20 seconds.

- best forward was Alexander Semin (Vityaz), who won three games of three with his team last week (including one away game), scoring four goals. The Vityaz forward scored a hat-trick against HC Sochi (including the game winner) and the game-winning goal against CSKA. His hat-trick against HC Sochi was Semin’s first KHL hat-trick. Semin posted no negative ratings and earned a plus-1 for the week.

- best rookie was goalie Ilya Konovalov (Lokomotiv), who won two of three games last week, including one shutout. The 20-year-old Yaroslavl goalie had a saves percentage of 96,55% with a goals-against average of 1,04. His shutout streak is still active and is now at 94 minutes and 41 seconds.
