The NHL just announced the NHL All-Star game roster and as it is the case more often than not, the Canadiens have one representant and yes, it is Carey Price, again. Don'tget me wrong, I’m a big Carey Price fan but I do not believe he deserves to be at the All Star weekend this year. Yes, he seems to be back to his old self since Weber came back but the choice should be made on the basis of the whole season.

To me, Max Domi should have gotten the nod. Not only does he lead the team in points, but he’s also imposed himself as a much needed number 1 centre on this team. Furthermore, he seems to share some of the booster cables role that Brendan Gallagher has had to shoulder for so long.

The Habs were back at practice today and there are a few news to report:
- Joel Armia was practicing on the 3rd line alongside Kotkaniemi and Lehkonen;
- David Schlemko was also back wearing a full contact jersey;
- Carey Price was also back and he expects to play tomorrow but says his injury has been nagging him for 7 weeks and they’ll need to manage it (why not bow down from the ASG now then and take the rest)
- Michael McNiven was returned to Laval after practice.

The lines and pairings were as follows:

Byron - Domi - Drouin
Tatar - Peca - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Agostino - Chaput - Deslauriers/Hudon

Mete - Weber
Reilly - Petry
Kulak - Benn
Alzner - Schlemko

Price
Niemi
McNiven

Let’s hope for a great game and a win to start the new year!
