Coyotes Find New, Interesting Ways to Lose

With half their team injured and the other half either missing the game because of the flu or playing through the flu, it was always going to be tough for the Coyotes to win last night - despite the game being against the Oilers.

The Oilers are the worst. Their squandering of McDavid's prime is a crime against humanity. They really should be taken over by the league until they can get someone competent to run their team.

And I'm not talking about Peter Chiarelli, who gives confidence to everyone who deep down knows they are terrible at their jobs. I am talking about whoever the guy is that has the ability to fire him and won't do it.

That is brutal.

Anyways, the game was a snoozefest and I found myself frequently watching other games until it was the last one left.

The Stars and Devils was a riot, and had Jamie Benn not left the game early, you might be reading the words of a two-thousandaire right now!!

Only ten points out from victory on draft kings, but an injury left me down. Still , won forty bucks, so look out Casino Niagara!

As for the Coyotes, they played a good game, they limited chances, controlled the play and - big surprise: were unable to score.

I have lost count of how many games in which they've been held to either zero or one goals, but I think it must be up to at least 15 games by now. That is over one-third of their total games and it is really starting to make Howler sad.

Last I heard, he was inconsolable after taking a beating at the hands of Gritty and whatever that maniac they call the Dallas Stars mascot is called.

The Coyotes need an infusion of something - based on their team health, probably fluids and saline - but also something that can bring some luck, less injuries and the ability to score.

To Coyotes fans who forget what that is, scoring is when the puck goes into the net.

Bad times man, I had such high hopes for this team.

Still trying to come up with a good rhyme for getting Jack Hughes.
