Coyotes Looking for First Win in a Year

The Coyotes are yet to win in 2019.

And it feels like about a year since they won a game.

It was back in the year 2018, December 29th to be exact, when the Old Coyotes bested the Ducks in overtime to eke out a 5-4 win.

Friday saw the Coyotes lose to the Devils in a shootout, and today they will take on the Rangers.

In fact, as I write this, the game is just about to start, so I have to keep it brief.

Hilariously, another Coyotes regular has been injured.

This time, it's Kevin Connauton. His knee is injured.

I think, could be an upper-body..........who the $$$$ knows at this point?

Connauton will join 98% of the rest of the Coyotes roster in the pressbox for the game.

Darcy Kuemper will start..........but will he finish?

Magic Eight ball says: Highly unlikely.

Here are some interesting things happening because of the injuries:

Brad Richard's son is today's number two centre. This is a centre who arguably would sit in the press box if he was on the Leafs.

Josh Archibald is on the third line and will likely see some PP duty.

(He had to be helped off the ice in practice, according to Craig Morgan's twitter feed, so he almost didn't play either).

Connor Garland has been recalled and will dress.

Despite all the injuries, Christian Fischer is on the fourth line. That is a really bad indication of his development, and is actually kind of depressing. Especially since he's one of only four players to play in all the games this year.

Ilya Lyubushkin is in for Connauton, so that's cool!

Oh good times!

It will be interesting to see how the Tuscon Roadrunners hand the Rangers today.
