KHL has entered its final stretch prior to the playoffs and one team has already clinched a spot but who are the best players of week 17?
- the best goalie was Magnus Hellberg (SKA), who won two of two away games last week. He posted a shutout against Dinamo Minsk, his seventh of the season, and now leads the league in this statistic. Hellberg had a saves percentage of 97.50% with a goals-against average of 0.50.
- the best defenseman was Darren Dietz (Barys), who won two of two away games last week with his team, scoring 3 (2+1) points (best result in the week among defensemen). The Canadian defenseman scored two game-winning goals last week, against HC Sochi and Spartak. Moreover, he posted a positive rating (plus-3), had 12 shots on goal, and blocked four shots from the opposition.
