Of course one game doesn't determine everything, but the feeling around Philly is tonight's game is about as close to a tone setter as you can get. The Flyers are facing the Penguins who they are currently trailing by 6 points for the last playoff spot...The Flyers have managed to cut the 16 points out of the playoffs by 10 points over the last ten games due to their 9-0-1 streak combined with teams above them, like the Penguins going 3-6-1 in that spell....And yet they are still 6 points behind Pitt and 8 points behind Columbus.. A Flyers win tonight makes that difference 4 points, a loss to the Pens puts them at 8 again...Can the Flyers play well enough and hope other teams play poorly enough to get another 8 points back? This game is huge...A loss and seller might tip the scales...

This week will tell us all we need to know about Mark Stone and Matt Duchene, but of the two players the chances seem greater that Stone will be moved...Winnipeg, Philly and Edmonton are leading the charge... Mark Stone would make a ridiculously good Jets team just crazy...

Enter the Nashville Predators.. Currently the Jackets are still deciding what to do, but as I pointed out over the weekend, Nashville is suddenly looking very closely at Winnipeg and should they get Stone it is not impossible that we see a bit of an Arms race here....
