PLUS/MINUS is a bad stat but a great blog idea. So great it's been ripped off at least twice that I know of! (Either that or it's just such an obvious idea anyone could have it, like when they invented fax machines!)

PLUS: Coyotes win their sixth in a row.

MINUS: People feeling sorry for Connor McDavid.

This really drives me nuts. Oh poor Connor, stuck on a bad team! Listen, no one made him sign an eight year deal in Edmonton. Also, between contracts and endorsements, he's set to earn over 100 million in his life, he can go anywhere, do anything and no one will ever tell him no.

Oh boo hoo he's on a bad team. The guy is like 22. The team will figure it out. Or they won't. But even if he spends his whole career in last place, guess what? He's going to live a life better than 99.9999% of people ever born, so shut the......

PLUS: I really like when people make twitter accounts for their dogs. Just kidding, I don't like that at all. What are you five? Grow up you idiots.

PLUS: Literally the greatest song ever recorded:

PLUS: Any Don DeLillo book. If you aren't down with Old Donny D, drop everything you're doing and hit up Amazon. I suggest Ratner's Star.

MINUS: The Ottawa Senators. I tell you one thing: if you're rebuilding a team and you want to give the impression that you're going to learn lessons and do things differently, you don't hire Marc Crawford FFS.

Also, their returns on Erik Karlsson and Mark Stone were pathetic and Pierre Dorian is horrible at his job and even more horrible at talking about his moves.

The NHL should intervene and get rid of their idiot owner, what an embarrassing joke, I feel sorry for their fans.

PLUS: Once again if you've read this blog all the way to here, then you've made it to that special portion where I try to sell you the book I wrote. Self released on Amazon under an alias due to it's extreme content, this book is NSFW or for reading on the bus.

Other than my friend Johnny, and my mother (who definitely should not have read it) it has received universal acclaim and is available for about 10 dollars or as a $3 e-book. This book has absolutely nothing to do with hockey, but I strongly suggest you buy it as I have sold over 60 copies and one day hope to hit at least 100.

MINUS: The Penguins completely ruining the last years of Malkin/Crosby/Kessel by playing Gudbranson and Jack Johnson. How can people who have no other jobs but watching and learning about hockey be this bad at understanding hockey.

What kind of rock do you have to have been living under for the last ten years to completely missed all the lessons about these kinds of players? Igneous? Sedimentary?

PLUS: Been doing the great 24 re-watch over the last two years, and we've reached season 8. This is, hands down, the greatest show and character of all-time.

And I'm still hoping for that Tony Almeida spin off.

MINUS: The Oilers will never improve as long as Bob Nicholson is in charge. This guy hired Chiarelli and he should be fired instead of picking a new GM. The idea that he's even considering Mark Hunter should be about all you need to know about the future of the Oilers.

Man do I ever feel sorry for Connor McDavid.

MINUS: One of the dumbest things I'v ever heard is people saying Jake Muzzin has been bad since joining the Maple Leafs.

He is a 53% player who has positive differentials in shot-attempts, shots, scoring chances, high-danger scoring chances, and goals.

Also, he's second on the Leafs blue line on a point-per-minute basis.

So unless you know of another thing that might measure a hockey player's success, he's been pretty ___ awesome.

And half his ice time has been playing out of position with Morgan Rielly. (who, even though he's a leading candidate for the Norris Trophy, has his stats improve significantly when on the ice with Muzzin).

The other half of his ice time is with Nikita Zaitsev who would suck the life out of any player.

Regardless, the idea that Muzzin has not been good since joining the Leafs is, like 75% of all hockey analysis, completely made up garbage that the stats prove 100% wrong.

PLUS: Edmonton Oilers roster.

Regardless of anything else, if you could ignore the fact that they've been awful for the last several years due to incompetence, and just remember that they have McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Jessie Puljujarvi, Kailer Yamamoto, Ethan Bear, Evan Bouchard, Oscar Klefbom, Ryan Nugent hopkins, Darnell Nurse and a lottery pick you'd be pretty f'n psyched up.

Other than maybe Toronto or Buffalo, that's still the best young roster in the NHL and it's hard to notice due to all the garbage going around about the team, but that's not a bad place to start.

PLUS: I have lived in a house with one bathroom for ten years, and in four weeks I am going to be moving into a house with four bathrooms. If you've ever had to wait while three kids get ready for school before getting into the bathroom, you know how glorious this is going to be for me.
